Howell Magic is the personal website for up-and-coming Southampton magician David Howell. As a young entertainer, David's performances are fresh and exciting and have given him notoriety wherever he performs. He prides himself on his professional approach and always leaves his guests with something special to remember for a long time to come.

Our Brief
As a recent entrant to professional magic, David required an online presence to advertise his business, acting as both portfolio and first point-of-contact for prospective clients. The website would have to be distinctive to help David stand out from the crowd and draw attention to his various services on offer. The website's design would have to establish a visual image for David's magic services which could be carried over to print for his business card and any other advertising.
Our Strategy
Working on the theme of magic and mystery, Aranæum Design settled on a dark colour pallet for Howell Magic, using layers and transparency in the design to carry over to the screen the mystery and class of David's act. Embellishments were added to the design in silver to convey excellence and standing. A photo of David performing a card trick was chosen for the centrepiece of the site, with the cards transformed to appear as if they were leaping out of the site and draw the eye in.
